Actress Charlene Tilton Talks Tragedy, Her Christian Faith and Her New Movie 'Heaven Sent'

Read the companion article: https://www.christianheadlines.com/contributors/michael-foust/gods-hand-has-been-on-me-actress-charlene-tilton-says-of-lifes-trials.html Michael Foust recently sat down with actress Charlene Tilton to discuss her upcoming new PureFlix movie "Heaven Sent." Here is a look at their conversation: The legendary actress, best known for her role in the award-winning television series Dallas, says she has seen God's hand on her life and that her Christian faith is the key to daily peace. Charlene Tilton starred in over 240 episodes of the Emmy-winning series Dallas from 1978 to 1990 before transitioning to movies. Her latest project is the Pure Flix romantic comedy Heaven Sent, which she calls the "best thing I've ever done." She and co-star Karen Abercrombie portray middle-aged friends who get a second chance at romance. Tilton told Christian Headlines that God has guided her through life's storms. She lived in foster care as a child. In 2010, her fiance Cheddy Hart died of a heart attack. "I've… seen the hand of God in my life since I can remember, at five years old. God's hand has been on me," Tilton told Christian Headlines. "And I know His hand's on everybody, but it's just if you choose to acknowledge it, and feel it and be still and listen to that still small voice that will guide you and show you the ways to go." Her Christian faith, she said, means "everything" to her. She noted that she starts every day with prayer and Bible reading, adding that she gets in the "presence of God" because "that's where you find the fullness of joy." Actress Finds Jesus, Embarks on Path to Expose Evil and Abuse: 'Hungry for the Truth'

An actress and TV show creator starring in a supernatural show focused on rescuing children from trafficking has gleaned some of her on-screen inspiration from real-life experience. Nicole Abisinio, star of “The Advocate,” a series streaming right now on Pure Flix, told CBN’s Faithwire the show is inspired, first and foremost, by the Holy Spirit. But her own life also served as a baseline for the plot. “The idea originally came in 2006 or 2007 when I was living in New York City,” Abisinio said. “I wasn't a believer, and neither was the person who brought this idea to me, and I just thought that the show wouldn't be picked up.” At the time, she said the world didn’t seem ready for the very heavy and pertinent subject matter she wanted the show to tackle. “It's an amazing project about a child protective agent who has supernatural gifts to be able to get ahead of the bad guys, get ahead of the predators,” Abisinio said. "At that time, projects like that just weren't being done, they weren't being made, they were often blocked.” Flash-forward to 2020, and the actress said the dynamics in culture and society dramatically shifted, especially amid the perils and fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic. Watch her discuss the show and her incredible life story. Ray Comfort Reveals Stunning Biblical Symbols You'll See in King Charles' Coronation

Evangelist Ray Comfort believes the "fear of the Lord is key to entering God’s holy presence and receiving his blessings," and he believes embracing this reality is the key to gaining wisdom. "The Bible says the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom," Comfort said, appealing to Jesus' words in Matthew 10:28 (NIV). Christ proclaimed, "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell." Comfort, author of the new book "How to Make Sure God Hears Your Prayers ― Find Peace and Comfort in God’s Promises," said some "gloss over that Scripture" and miss what Jesus is proclaiming. "He's saying, 'If a man's coming at you with a knife to plunge it into your chest, don't fear that — fear God.  And the fear of someone trying to kill you is nothing compared to the fear of God,'" he said. But, in some circles, there's a pushback on the idea of fearing the Lord. Comfort spoke about his own experience before becoming a Christian. One night outside of a dance hall, he recalled dishonorable intentions he had while hanging out with a fellow teen.  "I think it's the same problem that Israel had for many, many years," Comfort said. "And many times in the Old Testament, the Bible says they got into idolatry, they bowed down to idols. And the reason idols are so attractive to sinful human beings is because they don't have a moral dictate. An idol doesn't say, 'You shall not steal, you shall not commit adultery you, shall not kill you, shall not be a false witness." This absence of a moral dictate is something people find inherently attractive, as they can conjure up their own idea of God in their minds. Jackée Harry Extended Interview | The Jennifer Hudson Show

Jackée Harry and Jennifer Hudson chat about their first meeting in 2019 during “Live in Front of a Studio Audience,” and Jackée reminisces about why she was “hating on” Jennifer and had to check her ego. Jackée recalls becoming the first Black woman to win an Emmy Award for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for “227” in the ‘80s and what little she remembers from that historic night. The comedian admits why she didn’t want to star in the hit sitcom, “Sister, Sister,” revealing she wanted to be a serious actor and didn’t want to be anyone’s mom. Jackée also talks about how her current role on “Days of Our Lives” was written specifically for her and how Marla Gibbs, who plays her mother on the show, called her in the middle of the night to ask her the meaning of “WAP.” Plus, Jackée shares that she’s not looking for love and confesses her celebrity crush on actor Dave Bautista.
